Experience Uganda & the river Nile 2025

January is the perfect time of year to escape the UK’s dreary weather and get some winter sunshine and warm white water. In January 2023 the @theSleepwellProject and @ThinkPeopleThinkStory invited me to join them deliver mattresses and connect the stories of locals to tangible help in the most supportive areas. For example, Tommy asked a local shop owner and artist to create paddleboarding necklaces to sell on the ThinkPeople website. Peter (the artist) received an extra dollar on top of the price he would usually sell them for and connect people, like yourselves, to Peters shop when you visit Uganda.

The January 2023 trip set this year off in the most positive, inspiring and motivating way. This is why next year, I’ll be returning to continue developing my connection to this beautiful place, enhancing some white water SUP skills, and reconnecting with my friends in Bujagali Village. This is why I am inviting you to join me on the adventure to Uganda, experience  the white water, enjoy the memorable sunsets, cold beer, and develop your SUP game with Crawford Coaching.

What to Expect Next Year

Next year Crawford Coaching aims to run a 12 day trip in during January alongside Think People Think Story. The plan is to stay with local hosts in the Village of Bujagali who provide a comfy bed, mosquito net and a cooked breakfast. Here have the option to walk to the river from here and explore the stunning calmer areas of the River Nile, and the surf waves and rapids are just a half hour drive. A Safari can be the highlight and most talked about activity of this trip, and usually are a well received 3 day break from paddling.
